Hi, I’m Cassie.

Utilizing my passions for art & design, embracing empathy & human connection, and seeing positive movement is what motivates me in my work. I enjoy seeing ideas that have real impact, big or small, come to life.

Ever since I could hold a crayon and smash a ball of Play-Doh into a semi-recognizable sculpture, I has used art as a way to analyze and understand the world around me. My early childhood & summer vacations from primary school consisted of many drawings, coloring sheets, and hand-piped frosted cupcakes based on the lessons and experiences I gained by diligently watching my grandmother bake & decorate birthday, graduation & wedding cakes. An eye for aesthetics and design, along with gratitude for the honor of learning from an experienced teacher, was engrained in me through this.

I continued capturing life around me and expressing my reactions to it through studio arts and design throughout high school. I then studied at Miami University to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Emerging Technology in Business & Design, along with minors in Studio Arts and Journalism. I’m trained with experience in observational drawing, figure painting, app & website design, marketing campaigns, photo & video editing, coding, and more.

Following graduation, life took its course and led me to a small town I now calls home. I teach art full time to 7-12th graders at the local high school. My mission is to show students that it is okay & admirable to look, think, & be different from everyone else they know. My interests include animals, plants, & portraits. I connect deeply with music, and linking the expressions of sound & lyric with my own artistic expressions.
