hi, i’m cassie.
I’m a recent graduate from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Emerging Technology in Business & Design and minored in Studio Arts and Journalism. Here I exercised my passions for brainstorming, ideating & creating visual experiences with emotional gratification through User Experience, User Interface & Graphic Designs.
Utilizing my passions for art & design, empathy & human connection, and seeing positive change is what motivates me in my work. I enjoy seeing ideas that have real impact, big or small, come to life.
a bit about me
I have two cats, Spencer & Tostada, that have attitude for days & always keep me entertained. In my free time you can usually find me curled up on the couch reading or watching YouTube videos while they stalk & jump at the birds trying to get a meal from my birdfeeder.
I tend to a slew of houseplants — let me know if you’d like some propagations — and I have wildflowers hugging the outside of my house that can’t be rid of no matter how much my parents try to “weed” for me when they visit. I’m looking forward to starting a garden in a raised bed this spring after practically begging my parents for one as a birthday gift.
When I’m not bringing the outdoors into my home, I’m spending my time out venturing in it. Lots of parks and nature preserves dot the area around my home where I practice my amateur photography skills. Being a short 15-minute drive from the Mohican Valley region, I enjoy a spontaneous trip of hiking the trails and kayaking on the river.
I became an aunt after the arrival of my sweet baby niece Lucy Jean in November of 2024. Lots of my free time is spent shaking rattles to encourage her giggles, shaking up and feeding her bottles, and rocking her to sleep for a nap. Within my arms is Lucy’s favorite place to make messes in her diapers and onesies — she loves to put me on clean-up duty. Good thing she’s cute.
My life is filled with alternative music from before I was born or that I’d missed out on growing up in a small rural town; thrifted clothes, books & home decor; and 10-pound bags of flour from the local bulk foods market that will soon be transformed cookies & loaves of bread. I keep my Xbox Game Pass subscription renewed to play the latest RPGs & adventure games. I have notebooks and sketchbooks on deck for when creativity hits, and Carmex placed strategically in every room and bag to never go without it.
